Responsibilities- Provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance.
- Learn about products using internal tools and provide information to customers to help sell a project.
- Greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in the department; handle basics in adjacent departments.
- Maintain in-stock condition of assigned areas and ensure the environment is clean, shop-able, and safe.
- Follow all safety policies and standards; complete required safety training; correct hazards or report unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty.
- Work cooperatively with the Department Supervisor and colleagues within and across departments.
- Departments may include Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, and Tool Rental.
