Position SummaryThis full‑time position is for a Design Engineer II within the Water Resources department at Spicer Group, responsible for planning, designing, and managing water resource projects to ensure efficient and sustainable use of water resources. The role involves stormwater management, flood control, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities- Conduct site investigations and surveys to assess water resource needs and constraints.
- Develop project plans, specifications, and cost estimates for water resource projects.
- Design and implement stormwater management facilities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, scientists, and government officials, to ensure project success.
- Monitor project progress, budget, and schedule to ensure timely completion.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
- Participate in public meetings and consultations to gather feedback and address community concerns.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in water resources engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, and other relevant software.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of water resource management principles and practices.
