Medical Assistant

We’re currently seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant who is ready to take initiative and contribute to the success of our growing practice. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in both the clinical and administrative operations of our office, supporting our providers and ensuring an excellent patient experience.

• Rooming patients and preparing them for exams.
• Taking and documenting vital signs (weight, height, BP, pulse, respirations, SpO2, temperature).
• Verifying drug allergies and updating patient demographics and preferred pharmacy in our electronic prescribing system.
• Performing skin prick allergy testing under provider supervision.
• Assisting with in-office food and drug challenges
  , as well as venom testing.
• Administering various injections (including vaccines, allergy immunotherapy, and biologic treatments for asthma, chronic hives, and other allergic conditions).
• Responding to and helping manage anaphylactic reactions, including retrieving emergency supplies, taking vitals, drawing epinephrine, and ensuring prompt provider evaluation.
• Conducting spirometry testing for patients with asthma, COPD, and reactive airway diseases.

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (preferred but not required).
• Experience in a clinical setting, allergy/immunology experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Compassionate, patient-focused, and team-oriented mindset.
• Comfortable with technology and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
