Position: IT Systems Administrator
Salary: $72, + Bonus Potential

Job Overview: The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization’s core IT infrastructure, including servers, virtualization, cloud and on-premises identity systems, networking, storage, backups, and container platforms. This hands-on role ensures system reliability, security, and performance while supporting daily business operations and infrastructure improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities of the IT Systems Administrator:

Administer and support Windows Server, Hyper-V virtual environments, and clustered infrastructure.
Manage and troubleshoot container technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
Administration for Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and hybrid identity environments.
Support networking infrastructure, including firewalls, VLANs, routing, switching, and connectivity.
Monitor and manage backup and disaster recovery processes, including testing and validation of restores.
Automate system administration tasks using Ansible, scripting, and other automation tools.
Administer and maintain Linux and Windows server environments.
Perform system updates, patching, capacity planning, and infrastructure upgrades.
Support the organization’s phone systems and AV equipment.
Collaborate with IT team members and business stakeholders to resolve issues and improve system performance.

Preferred Experience of the IT Systems Administrator:

M365 Administration
Active Directory, Azure AD, Entra
Windows Server & Hyper-V / VMware (Administer & failover clustering)
Containers (Kubernetes/dockers) - deployment, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management
Linux OS (Administer, patching, troubleshooting)
Strong understanding of networking concepts & management (routing, switching, firewalls, VLANs and connectivity troubleshooting)
Knowledge of backups & disaster recovery
Strong communication, collaboration and customer service skills

Bonus Experience of the IT Systems Administrator:

SAN Storage, iSCI, performance, workloads
Git Hub, Git Ops, CI/CD
Infrastructure-as-code, Ansible
Enterprise backup and disaster recovery
Scripting & Automation, Power Shell, or Python
Phone systems & AV equipment
