Salary Range: $78,000 - $123,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across East Lansing seeking EHS Managers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local EHS regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
• Develop, implement, and manage EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and implement control measures to mitigate hazards.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
• Design and deliver EHS training programs for all levels of employees.
• Perform regular EHS audits and inspections, identifying areas for improvement.
• Manage EHS data, reporting, and record-keeping for regulatory and internal requirements.
• Develop and maintain emergency preparedness and response plans.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EHS, Engineering, or a related scientific field; professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH) highly preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive EHS experience, with at least 5 years directly within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations and standards.
• Proven experience developing, implementing, and managing EHS programs and management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Demonstrated ability to lead EHS initiatives, conduct training, and influence a strong safety culture across all levels of an organization.

Bonus Qualifications

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation.
• Experience applying Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies to EHS initiatives.
• ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification or implementation experience.
• Proficiency with EHS management software and data analytics for trend identification and predictive safety.
