Position Summary (Basic Job Function):
This is a temporary position to work as a laborer in a wide variety of routine manual labor areas.
Unit
Position Summary:
Assist Others in the performance of a wide variety of routine manual labor tasks, including but not necessarily limited to the following:
- Moving, loading, and unloading of supplies, equipment, and furniture.
- Mowing lawns and landscaped areas.
- Shovel snow, sand, and de‑ice walkways.
- Collection and disposal of debris.
- Cleaning, refurbishing, repair, and occasional painting of building areas and equipment.
- Planting, cultivating, and harvesting of agricultural areas.
- Issuing, receiving, and storage of supplies and equipment.
- Transporting supplies, materials, tools, and equipment to work site using a University vehicle.
- Operation and maintenance of vehicles.
Perform related duties as assigned including, but not necessarily limited to the following:
- Participate in snow plan by shoveling, operating snow removal vehicles and equipment and applying ice melt products.
- Assist in football tailgate cleanup.
