Full Time Assistant Store Manager (Store 6422) – East Liverpool, OH

Responsibilities- Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests promptly, respond to questions and concerns quickly, and assist guests in meeting their gaming needs.
- Promote Game Stop’s unique guest benefits such as the new title reservation program, trade‑in program, and Pro Rewards loyalty program.
- Support the total shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and the guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business.
- Promptly and accurately process guest purchases/returns using the POS system, ensuring top‑notch service.
- Respond to guest comments or questions in person or on the phone, escalating issues to the Store Manager when appropriate.
- Assist the Store Manager with setting guest‑service expectations for store associates and training them in company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Observe associate performance, provide timely feedback, and address unsatisfactory performance as directed.
- Enter payroll, paid‑time‑off edits, and verify store‑associate pay in the HR system.
- Ensure store areas, including restrooms, are clean, organized, and merchandised per guidelines.
- Fulfill and ship Omni‑Channel orders daily.
- Protect company assets through effective inventory control, loss‑prevention practices, and bank deposits.
- Support the store team in meeting sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete required administrative duties.
- Perform inventory counts, stock and resupply merchandise, and maintain organized shelves.
- Count, balance, and reconcile daily transaction totals in the POS system and complete required closeout paperwork.
- Verify shipments for discrepancies and record findings in the POS system.
- Process defectives, recalls, and stock pulls accurately and promptly.
- Maintain safety awareness, identify hazards, and report injuries as required.
- Assist in maintaining store records and help ensure manuals are current.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders when the Store Manager is absent.
- Consistently adhere to Game Stop policies, procedures, and the Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct.
- Follow all opening and closing procedures.
- Proof of identity and eligibility to work legally in the United States.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree with emphasis in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred.
- At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred.
- At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
- Video‑game knowledge is preferred.

- Provide genuine, individualized assistance to every guest during every visit.
- Clear verbal and written communication; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Achieve objectives in a fast‑paced, rapidly changing environment.

- Meet associate performance expectations, including attendance, appearance, safety, and respectful workplace standards.
- Operate POS systems.
- Basic mathematics and alphabetizing skills.
- Complete required paperwork properly.
- Follow written or oral instructions.
- Execute financial tasks per company policy.
- Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays; minimum 3 days per week availability.
- Manage pressure and adapt to stressful situations creatively.
- Be reliable, trustworthy, and use good judgment.
- Work alone; stand and move throughout the store for up to 12 hours.
- Lift merchandise up to 30 lbs from ground level to at least 4 feet.
- Obtain a working understanding of military ranks when applicable.
Compensation
: $13.75 - $17.75 per hour

Full‑time store positions are eligible for incentive programs, 401(k), paid time off, dental, vision, and health insurance. Positions may also be eligible for bonuses or additional incentives.
