Accountant, Tax Accountant, Financial Reporting

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our client’s dynamic accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, preparing financial statements, ensuring tax compliance, and overseeing accounting processes from start to finish. • Manage junior staff and review their work
• Prepare Annual Financial Statements and Management Accounts for all entity types
• Handle full bookkeeping function from cashbook to trial balance
• Reconcile customers, suppliers and general ledger accounts
• Calculate and submit VAT, EMP, and Workmans Compensation
• Prepare and submit tax returns for companies, CCs, individuals and trusts
• Handle provisional tax and SARS correspondence including VAT audits
• Manage CIPC annual returns and company registrations
• Liaise directly with clients ensuring strong relationships and quality service delivery

• Self‑driven with strong time management skills
• Excellent communication (English & Afrikaans)
• High attention to detail, responsibility and accountability

• Neat, organised and client‑focused

• Working hours:
  
  08:00 – 16:30 (Monday to Friday)
• Own vehicle required; occasional travel may be necessary
• Laptop and required software provided

• Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree completed
• Completed Articles
• SAIPA / CA(SA) / AGA(SA) registration (essential)
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar accounting role
• Advanced knowledge of Income Tax and VAT legislation
• Proficiency in Draft Worx, Sage One, Xero, Syft and Microsoft Office Suite

• Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree completed
• Completed Articles
• SAIPA / CA(SA) / AGA(SA) registration (essential)
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar accounting role
• Advanced knowledge of Income Tax and VAT legislation
