About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and observant Construction Quality Inspector to join their team in the East London area. This role is essential for ensuring that all construction work meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications and building codes. You will conduct regular inspections of materials, workmanship, and completed elements of construction projects, identifying defects and ensuring they are rectified promptly.
The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of construction materials and techniques, and a commitment to upholding quality throughout the building process for projects in the Eastern Cape .
- Conduct thorough inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and building codes.
- Inspect materials and workmanship at various stages of construction, identifying defects or non-conformance.
- Document inspection findings accurately, including photographic evidence, and report deficiencies to project management.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Verify that subcontractors are adhering to quality standards and project requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and corrective actions taken.
- Proven experience as a Construction Quality Inspector or in a related quality assurance role.
- Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong reporting and documentation skills.
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations is essential.
