Site Architect - High-End Residential Developments

Our client, a developer renowned for constructing high-quality, architecturally designed residential properties, is seeking a diligent Site Architect to oversee the execution of projects in East London, Eastern Cape. This role is focused on ensuring that the architectural vision is translated accurately into the built form, maintaining the highest standards of quality and detail. You will be responsible for managing site activities, coordinating with contractors and sub-contractors, and ensuring adherence to design specifications, timelines, and budgets.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and manage on-site operations. This is a crucial role in delivering exceptional homes in East London.

• Oversee and manage on-site architectural execution for high-end residential projects in East London.
• Ensure construction activities strictly adhere to approved architectural drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate and liaise with site teams, contractors, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety standards.
• Resolve on-site construction issues and design interpretation challenges promptly.
• Review and approve shop drawings and material submittals, ensuring compliance with design intent.
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, progress photos, and issue logs.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and site safety protocols.
• Manage project documentation related to site activities and approvals.
• Communicate effectively with the design team and client representatives regarding site progress and challenges.

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related construction management field.
• SACAP registration is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction supervision, site management, or as a site architect, preferably on residential projects.
• Proven track record of successfully managing construction sites and ensuring quality delivery.
• Strong understanding of building materials, construction techniques, and project management principles.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with site safety regulations and best practices.
• Experience working in East London or the Eastern Cape region is advantageous.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.
