Area of specialization:
To ensure that the secondary plant is operated and maintained in a safe and effective manner in order that a continuity of supply is sustained or enhanced and that regional and organisational objectives are met.

Position/Task Grade: T12

Department: Secondary Plant

Business Unit: Southern Grid

Location: East London

Skills and Competencies Required

o Coaching, mentoring, team player, developing
o Knowledge of Eskom’s procedures and standards
o Knowledge of Eskom’s business and financial procedures
o Knowledge of statutory/legislative requirements
o Knowledge of network, plant, and equipment
o Basic understanding of Secondary Plant Systems
o Communication
o Computer/Operational Technology (OT) skills
o Technical Knowledge and analytical skills to diagnose problems in electrical equipment or systems and develop appropriate solutions.
o Interpersonal relations
o Can work under pressure
