About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Facilities Engineer to manage and maintain their Oil & Gas infrastructure in the East London area. This role is essential for ensuring the reliable and safe operation of production facilities, pipelines, and associated equipment. You will be responsible for planning and executing maintenance activities, troubleshooting operational issues, and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and longevity of the assets.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with operations teams and external contractors to ensure all facilities meet stringent performance, safety, and environmental standards, contributing to the overall success of the company's upstream operations.
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of oil and gas production facilities, including processing plants, separation units, and storage tanks.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize asset performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational and mechanical issues related to facility equipment and systems.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental (HSE) regulations and company policies.
- Manage contracts with third-party service providers and suppliers, ensuring quality of work and cost-effectiveness.
- Participate in the design, modification, and commissioning of new facilities or upgrades to existing infrastructure.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities engineering, specifically within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Proven experience in maintaining and troubleshooting oil and gas production equipment and process systems.
- Strong understanding of mechanical integrity, fluid dynamics, and process control principles.
- Familiarity with HSE regulations and best practices in industrial operations.
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills for this East London-based role.
