About the Role
Our client is seeking an innovative and meticulous Mechanical Systems Designer to join their engineering department in East London . This role focuses on the conceptualization, design, and development of complex mechanical systems for various industrial applications. You will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models, generating technical drawings, and ensuring that designs meet performance, safety, and manufacturing requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for problem-solving, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to translate project requirements into functional and efficient mechanical solutions within a collaborative team setting.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop intricate mechanical systems, sub-systems, and components using CAD software .
- Create detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, and Bill of Materials (BOMs) for manufacturing and assembly.
- Perform calculations and analyses to ensure designs meet specified performance, strength, and thermal requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing personnel, to ensure integrated system design.
- Support prototype development, testing, and validation activities, making necessary design modifications.
- Maintain and update design documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical system design and development.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, Inventor, AutoCAD) and PDM systems.
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with system integration and troubleshooting complex mechanical assemblies.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment and collaborate with teams in East London .
