About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic Process Engineer focused on continuous improvement to join their team in East London . This role adopts a hybrid work model, offering flexibility while requiring on-site collaboration. You will be instrumental in analyzing, optimizing, and streamlining manufacturing and operational processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality. The ideal candidate possesses a strong analytical mindset, practical experience with lean methodologies, and a passion for driving positive change.

You will work closely with production teams to implement and sustain improvements, fostering a culture of innovation and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Design, implement, and monitor lean manufacturing initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
  • Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot process issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to process efficiency, quality, and cost, and report on findings.
  • Facilitate cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement projects and problem-solving activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in process engineering or continuous improvement roles, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Proven experience with lean manufacturing tools and techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
  • Proficiency in process mapping and data analysis.
