Well Completion Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Well Completion Engineer to manage completion operations in East London . This role is responsible for the design, execution, and optimization of well completions to ensure efficient production and asset integrity. You will work closely with drilling and production teams to develop tailored completion strategies, select appropriate equipment, and supervise the installation process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of completion technologies, downhole tools, and artificial lift systems, contributing to the maximization of hydrocarbon recovery and operational success in the oil and gas sector .

• Design and engineer well completion programs, including casing, tubing, and downhole equipment selection.
• Develop strategies for zonal isolation, sand control, and production optimization.
• Oversee the installation and testing of completion equipment during well operations.
• Analyze well performance data and recommend adjustments for improved production.
• Collaborate with drilling engineers to ensure seamless transition from drilling to completion phases.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations during completion activities.

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in well completion engineering .
• Proficiency in completion design software and downhole tool selection .
• Understanding of artificial lift systems and production optimization techniques.
