About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Upstream Production Engineer to join their team in East London . This role is critical for optimizing the recovery of oil and gas from wells and reservoirs, ensuring efficient and safe production operations. You will analyze production data, implement artificial lift systems, and collaborate with reservoir and drilling engineers to maximize asset performance. • Monitor well performance and production rates, identifying opportunities for optimization.
• Design, implement, and manage artificial lift systems (e.g., ESP, gas lift).
• Conduct production forecasting and economic analysis for upstream projects.
• Collaborate with reservoir and drilling engineers to develop integrated field development plans.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime and maximize recovery.

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in upstream production engineering within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proficiency in production system analysis, artificial lift design, and well testing.
• Familiarity with reservoir simulation and well performance modeling.
