About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive Process Optimization Engineer to join their industrial operations team in East London. This role is dedicated to improving the efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness of manufacturing and operational processes. You will be responsible for analyzing current workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing data-driven solutions to enhance overall productivity. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer keen on making a tangible impact through meticulous process analysis and strategic implementation in a well-established industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze existing production processes, identifying opportunities for improvement in efficiency and resource utilization.
- Develop and implement lean manufacturing tools and techniques to streamline operations and reduce waste.
- Conduct root cause analysis on process deviations and implement corrective actions.
- Design and document optimal operating procedures and standards.
- Collaborate with production teams to implement process changes and ensure smooth transitions.
- Monitor process performance using key metrics and provide regular reports on findings and recommendations.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
- 4+ years of experience in process engineering, continuous improvement, or operations management.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and statistical process control (SPC).
- Proficiency in process mapping, data analysis, and simulation software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with various teams.
