About the Role
Our client is seeking a pragmatic and experienced Industrial Chemical Engineer to join their manufacturing operations in East London . This role focuses on applying chemical engineering principles to improve the efficiency, safety, and environmental performance of industrial processes. You will work on optimizing existing production methods, troubleshooting operational issues, and contributing to the design and implementation of new process technologies.
The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a practical understanding of industrial chemical processes, and a commitment to continuous improvement, making a tangible contribution to the company's success in the Eastern Cape region.
- Analyze and optimize industrial chemical processes to enhance efficiency, yield, and product quality.
- Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Participate in the design, installation, and commissioning of new process equipment and systems.
- Ensure all processes comply with stringent health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including P&IDs and operating procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production and project goals.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial chemical engineering role.
- Proven ability to apply chemical engineering principles to solve practical industrial problems.
- Experience with process simulation, modeling, and data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of industrial safety standards and environmental compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills for operations in East London .
