Our client is seeking a skilled Aircraft Composites Technician to join their advanced manufacturing and repair facility in East London. This role is pivotal in maintaining the structural integrity and performance of modern aircraft by expertly repairing and fabricating composite components. • Perform repairs and fabrication of aircraft composite structures, including wings, fuselage sections, and control surfaces.
• Interpret and follow engineering drawings, repair schemes, and technical specifications for composite repairs.
• Prepare composite surfaces, including cleaning, sanding, and layup procedures.
• Apply resins, fillers, and bonding agents accurately and efficiently.
• Operate and maintain composite fabrication equipment, including autoclaves and vacuum bagging systems.
• Inspect repaired components for defects and ensure adherence to airworthiness standards.
• Document all repair processes, materials used, and quality checks performed.

• Proven experience as an Aircraft Composites Technician or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of composite materials (e.g., carbon fiber, fiberglass) and their properties.
• Proficiency in composite repair techniques, including layup, bonding, and curing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and repair manuals.
• Experience with composite repair equipment and tools.
• Strong understanding of aviation safety regulations and quality control procedures.
