Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their hybrid team in East London . This role is pivotal in managing and contributing to the design and implementation of critical infrastructure projects, including roads, water, and sanitation systems. You will lead technical aspects of projects, ensure high standards of engineering practice, and mentor junior engineers. The position requires a blend of technical expertise, project management acumen, and strong collaborative skills to work effectively within the team and with external stakeholders.

This is a key role in enhancing the infrastructure capabilities of the Eastern Cape region.

• Lead the design and development of complex infrastructure projects, such as road networks, water supply, and wastewater systems.
• Oversee the preparation of detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant national and local engineering standards and regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
• Manage project interfaces with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
• Conduct site visits and provide engineering support during the construction phase.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering .
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in infrastructure design and project delivery.
• Proven experience in managing multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Strong technical knowledge in areas such as road design, hydrology, and utility engineering.
• Excellent project management and leadership skills.
• Professional registration (Pr. Eng.) with ECSA is highly preferred.
