Key Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical components for automotive powertrains (e.g., engines, transmissions, drive lines) using CAD software.
- Perform FEA and CFD analysis to optimize component performance, durability, and thermal management.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and test plans for powertrain components.
- Conduct laboratory testing and vehicle validation of powertrain systems, analyzing results to drive improvements.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to ensure designs are producible and cost-effective.
- Troubleshoot powertrain issues and implement design solutions to enhance reliability and performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in automotive powertrain design or development.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, Solid Works) and analysis tools (FEA/CFD).
- Strong understanding of engine or transmission mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials science.
- Experience with powertrain testing and validation procedures.
