Position: FINANCE ADMINISTRATOR

Overview

FINANCE ADMINISTRATOR/EAST LONDON - We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Finance Administrator to support the day-to-day financial operations of the business. The role requires hands-on experience in bookkeeping, invoicing, reconciliations, debtors and creditors management, as well as basic payroll administration. The ideal candidate will be organised, accurate, and able to work independently while meeting deadlines.

Minimum Requirements
  • Matric (Finance/Accounting qualification advantageous)
  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar finance or accounting administration role
  • Solid bookkeeping experience up to trial balance (advantageous)
  • Experience with debtors and creditors control
  • Basic payroll administration experience
  • Strong numerical and reconciliation skills
  • Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. Sage, Pastel, Xero, or similar)

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily bookkeeping functions and maintain accurate financial records
  • Prepare, issue, and process customer invoices
  • Manage debtors: follow up on outstanding accounts and maintain age analysis
  • Manage creditors: process supplier invoices, statements, and payments
  • Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, and customer accounts
  • Assist with monthly financial reports and reconciliations
  • Support payroll administration, including timesheets, payroll input, and leave records
  • Capture and process journals where required
  • Maintain proper filing and compliance with financial documentation
  • Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal departments regarding financial queries
  • Assist with audits and year-end processes when required
