Network Engineer

Our client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Network Engineer to join their IT infrastructure team in East London . This role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's network systems to ensure high availability and performance. You will be responsible for managing network hardware, software, and security to support the company's operational needs. • Design, install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues, ensuring optimal uptime.
• Implement and manage network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
• Plan and execute network upgrades and expansions to meet evolving business requirements.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams and configurations.
• Provide technical support for network-related issues and collaborate with other IT teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in network engineering and administration.
• Proficiency with network hardware from major vendors (e.g., Cisco, Juniper).
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and network services (DNS, DHCP).
• Experience with network security principles and tools.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or Network+ are highly desirable.
