Production Foreman

Our client, a reputable property development company with an in-house aluminium manufacturing plant in East London, is seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Foreman (Aluminium) to oversee daily factory operations, workshop supervision, aluminium fabrication production, and manufacturing output control.

This role is ideal for a strong Factory Foreman, Manufacturing Supervisor, Aluminium Production Manager, Workshop Manager, or Production Supervisor with proven experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities Production & Output Management

• Oversee daily manufacturing operations and production planning
• Ensure aluminium fabrication targets and factory output KPIs are met
• Monitor production schedules and workflow optimisation
• Track and improve production line efficiency and turnaround times
• Submit accurate production reports, timesheets, and performance metrics

Quality Control & Compliance

• Implement strict quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) procedures
• Inspect aluminium windows, doors, and fabricated components before dispatch
• Address manufacturing defects and workmanship standards
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and factory quality systems

Staff & Workshop Management

• Supervise and lead factory staff, artisans, fabricators, and general workers
• Manage performance, productivity, and workforce planning
• Enforce workshop discipline and operational procedures
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings
• Handle disciplinary processes and performance management

Health & Safety Compliance

• Enforce Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) regulations
• Ensure PPE compliance in the manufacturing environment
• Conduct regular machinery inspections and risk assessments
• Maintain a safe and compliant factory floor

Materials & Stock Control

• Monitor raw material usage, aluminium profiles, glass, and hardware stock
• Control wastage, scrap management, and material variances
• Assist with monthly stock takes and inventory control
• Ensure accurate stores and warehouse coordination

Minimum Requirements

• Proven experience as a Production Foreman, Factory Foreman, Workshop Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, or Aluminium Production Manager
• Strong background in aluminium fabrication, aluminium windows and doors manufacturing, or metal fabrication
• Experience in factory production management and manufacturing operations
• Knowledge of quality control systems, production scheduling, and workflow management
• Strong understanding of OHS compliance in manufacturing
• Leadership experience managing teams in a production environment
