Community Health Nurse

Our client is seeking a dedicated Community Health Nurse to serve the East London area. This role involves providing essential primary healthcare services to individuals and families within their communities, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of common illnesses. You will conduct health assessments, provide education, and support community health initiatives. The ideal candidate is passionate about public health, possesses excellent clinical skills, and is committed to improving health outcomes for residents in the Eastern Cape .

• Conduct health screenings and assessments in community settings.
• Provide health education on topics such as nutrition, hygiene, family planning, and chronic disease management.
• Administer immunizations and basic medical treatments as per protocols.
• Identify health needs within the community and develop appropriate intervention strategies.
• Collaborate with local clinics, schools, and community leaders to promote health programs.
• Maintain accurate health records and report on community health status.

• Registered Nurse qualification with a specialization or experience in Community Health.
• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• Experience in primary healthcare, public health, or community nursing.
• Strong clinical assessment and patient education skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse populations.
• Ability to work independently and travel within the East London community.
