Property Asset Manager

A well-established property company is seeking a Property Asset Manager to support the commercial and strategic management of its property portfolio in the Eastern Cape. The role focuses on asset performance analysis, financial interpretation, capex feasibility and value-enhancement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse asset-level financial and operational performance against budgets and forecasts
  • Identify risks underperformance and value-enhancement opportunities
  • Review vacancies, lease expiries and income sustainability
  • Assist with forecasts, cash flows, variance analysis and scenario modelling
  • Support capex planning, feasibility studies and Exco submissions
  • Track capex spend timelines and post‑implementation performance
  • Support buy / hold / sell analysis and asset‑level strategy development
  • Conduct market research on rentals, demand and competitor activity
  • Provide commercial support to leasing, tenant and income optimisation initiatives
  • Prepare asset reports, dashboards and management presentations
Minimum Requirements
  • Degree or diploma in Property Studies, Real Estate Finance, Economics, Commerce or related field
  • 13 years experience in property asset management, property analysis or property finance
  • Strong Excel financial modelling and reporting skills
  • Exposure to retail commercial mixed‑use or student property portfolios advantageous
  • Eastern Cape market knowledge beneficial
  • The position is based in East London and may require regional travel.
