Junior Mobile App Developer Apprentice

About the Role

Our client, an innovative tech startup in East London , is seeking a passionate Junior Mobile App Developer Apprentice to join their growing team. This is an exceptional opportunity for individuals eager to learn and contribute to the development of cutting-edge mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms. You will work closely with senior developers, gaining practical experience in the full mobile development lifecycle.

This role requires on-site presence to foster close collaboration and team integration within the East London office. We are looking for candidates with a strong desire to learn and a commitment to producing high-quality, user-friendly mobile experiences.

• Assist in developing and implementing new features for native iOS and Android applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using Swift/Objective-C for iOS or Kotlin/Java for Android.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with senior developers on technical design.
• Test applications thoroughly to identify and resolve bugs and performance issues.
• Contribute to the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design and implementation.

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certificate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is advantageous.
• A foundational understanding of programming concepts and object-oriented principles.
• Demonstrated interest in mobile app development (personal projects or coursework).
• Familiarity with at least one mobile development platform (iOS or Android) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a willingness to learn rapidly in an agile environment.
