Distribution Centre Team Lead

Our client is seeking an energetic and experienced Distribution Centre Team Lead to join their team in East London . This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and accurate functioning of the distribution centre, leading a team of associates to meet daily operational targets. You will be responsible for overseeing key activities such as receiving, order fulfillment, inventory management, and dispatch, while ensuring adherence to safety standards and fostering a productive team environment.

• Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance and support to achieve daily objectives.
• Oversee and ensure the efficiency of receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
• Maintain high standards of inventory accuracy through diligent cycle counting and system updates.
• Ensure all team members adhere to safety policies and procedures, promoting a safe working culture.
• Monitor team performance, identify training needs, and provide coaching to enhance skills.
• Collaborate with the Distribution Centre Manager to implement operational improvements and efficiencies.

• Previous experience as a Team Lead or Supervisor in a warehouse or distribution centre environment.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including inventory management and order fulfillment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and basic computer skills (e.g., MS Office).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
