Base pay range

$30.00/hr - $40.00/hr

Masis Staffing Solutions is assisting our client in searching for a Buyer (Manufacturing) in East Longmeadow MA. Position is temp-to-perm with good opportunity to convert to permanent based on good performance. Position is 100% onsite. This is an outstanding opportunity to join an industry leader with great career growth potential.

Salary: $30 to $40 per hour (higher rates based on strong manufacturing buying experience)

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support operations by purchasing materials, equipment and services in a cost effective manner in compliance with protocols.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, evaluate and maintain a reliable, competitive and economical supply chain.
• Generate and distribute bid packages.
• Perform independent analysis on capabilities of prospective new suppliers .
• Locate and develop a consolidated supply base to meet sourcing requirements.
• Work collaboratively with Planning, Quality and Engineering to maximize customer service, ensure schedule adherence, assure quality, minimize inventory and manage efficient launch of new items.

Experience and Educational Requirements:

• 2-5 years of recent buying experience, preferably within a manufacturing facility.
• Extensive knowledge of MRP systems/SAP preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration preferred.
• Strong sourcing and negotiation skills.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in team environment.
• Awareness of Lean technologies.
