1st Shift Milling Operator

Pay Ranges – $22.09‑$23.21/hour

As a Milling Operator, you’ll be part of our Stanley Black & Decker team located in East Longmeadow, MA. You’ll get to:

• Perform a variety of duties to set up and operate a group of automatic milling / CNC milling machines to mill various types of teeth on several sizes and types of carbon steel and bi‑metal backing coil material.
• Exacting set‑ups to close tolerances.
• Check coils to be milled and tag the coil for record of previous operation.
• Replace cutters after grind.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Report any material defects or discrepancies and equipment malfunctions to Supervisor.
• Responsible for quality of work performed.

Demanding, fast‑paced position resulting from deadline pressures, simultaneous competing demands, and changing priorities.

• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of charts, specifications, and micrometers.
• Ability to use numbers including decimals.
• Light physical effort required, equivalent to lifting, pushing, pulling 5 to 25 pounds.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
