Join the team at the brand-new 18‑bed Heron House Enhanced Medical Group Living Environment (EMGLE). Under the supervision of a designated charge nurse or RN, you will work with an LPN, CNA, and direct care staff providing care and compassion while gaining valuable experience in CHD’s modern EMGLE facility.

• Medication administration and management; assist in medication audit processes
• Attend participant care plan meetings/resource meetings
• Provide direct care as needed, including personal hygiene care by assisting with travel to the bathroom, helping with showers and baths
• Effectively understand details about a patient’s health and provide the charge nurse or RN with clear, precise information and observations
• Assist with activities of daily living by serving meals, feeding participants as necessary, ambulating
• Provide adjunct care by administering nonsterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments
• Maintain stability of participants by checking vital signs and weight, recording intake and output information; on‑call monthly rotation (stipend provided, plus hourly wage if called in to pass meds)

• Licensed Practical Nurse by the Board of Registration in Massachusetts
• One‑year experience as an LPN (preferred); one‑year experience in a behavioral health setting (preferred); one‑year experience working with the elderly, people with disabilities, behavioral challenges, and cognitive disabilities (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license
• Can lift 45 lb or more, stock supplies, walk and/or stand for extended periods
• Complete assigned training requirements in compliance with CHD and the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health
• Associate’s degree or higher (education required)

Competitive hourly wage of $38.50 / hr. $2.00 / hr. differential for hours worked on 3rd shift. Additional holiday bonus pay for working on New Year’s Eve, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Memorial Day and Christmas Day. Enjoy an attractive benefit package available with this LPN opportunity.
