Circa £40,000 - £41,000, rising to £46,000 - £48,000 after 3 months
Shift Pattern: 3-Shift Rotation (Moving to 4 on, 4 off Continental Shifts after training) Join a Global Engineering Manufacturer We're looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a leading manufacturing business in Livingston. This is a permanent opportunity offering excellent earning potential, long-term job security and genuine career progression. You'll complete an initial three-month training period on a Monday to Friday rotating shift pattern before moving onto a 4 on, 4 off continental shift, increasing your salary to circa £46,000 - £48,000 per annum.
What You'll Be Doing Inspect forged and machined components to ensure they meet quality standards. Carry out dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment. Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Identify defects and support quality improvements across production. Complete inspection documentation accurately. Maintain high standards of health, safety and housekeeping. Work closely with production teams to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
What We're Looking For Time-served Engineer or HNC (or equivalent) in Engineering. Previous inspection experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment. Ability to read engineering drawings. Experience using precision measuring equipment. Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset. Flexible to work rotating shifts before moving onto continental shifts. Initial Training Shift Pattern 3 shift rotation:
Days/Backs/Nights followed by Continental shift pattern What's on Offer? Starting salary of circa £40,000 - £41,000. Increase to circa £46,000 - £48,000 after training.
