Position Highlights This is a second shift, full-time, Monday-Friday position. The Identification & Records Specialist will perform a full range of tasks associated with inmate identification and record keeping. As an Identification and Records Specialist, you will be tasked with accurately tabulating and calculating inmate sentences and maintaining confidential inmate records. You will independently perform a full range of tasks associated with inmate identification and record keeping and overseeing the inmate identification and records section.

Some key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Ensures accurate maintenance of the facility or parole system for inmate identification, including tabulation of inmate sentences and other records;
Develops and maintains contacts with courts and law enforcement agencies concerning matters of individual inmates related to sentences;
Calculates sentences for parole and discharge eligibility, including sentence commutations for good time and other adjustments;
Oversees issuance of notices concerning release and discharge of inmates, furloughs, and transfers of inmates to required and authorized recipients;
Oversees the compilation and editing of criminal records of each inmate through correspondence and communication with the FBI, CSBI, and other law enforcement agencies;
Assigns and reviews unit work for accuracy and thoroughness;
Assists in the compilation of current statistical data concerning inmates and monthly and annual statistical reports. About Us Our Mission:
