• Read and understand all written work instructions (bluebird).
• Verify kitted raw materials (quantity and proper items).
• Follow direction from Lead Operator / Supervisor.
• Learn and execute all required steps of the build process including soldering, punching, potting, trimming, inspection, testing, measuring, wire stripping, cutting, laminating, bonding, baking, crimping, etc.
• Maintain proper identification / labeling of parts through all process steps.
• Work cooperatively with other departments such as Marking and QC.
• Follow all company policies and all safety guidelines.
• Determine the difference of a good/bad heater, circuit, and wire wound panel.
• Inspect own work to ensure it meets the requirements and description of the product.
• Clean raw materials and finished parts using cleaning solutions (such as Isopropyl Alcohol and/or water), air hoses, and cloths.
• Pick heater pads to expose area to solder/weld.
• Prepare PSA (pressure sensitive adhesive) application and the bladder press for PSA.
• Tape heaters on boards for potting/conformal coating.
• Cover leads - potting, conformal coating, under cover with patches, or doghouse.
• String heaters and terminate leads with copper crimps.
• Operate Spartanics and die clicker machines.
• Cut required materials.

• Must have previous manufacturing experience.
• Basic Math knowledge.
• Welding in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Must have experience with and have the ability to execute all required steps of the build process including soldering.

• Math skills:
  Proficient in basic mathematics: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Blueprint Literacy - Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and reports to determine materials requirements and assembly instructions.
• Teamwork - Ability to cooperate and communicate professionally with supervisors, VSCs, working leaders, coworkers and all other Birk employees.
