Physician, Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner
- Manages and directs all clinical services, primarily responsible for quality of care, clinical regulatory compliance, and supervision of all clinical caregivers.
- Collaborates across and within regions to share resources, implement improvement initiatives, and optimize clinical, financial, operational, and customer service performance in partnership with the relevant operational leader.
- Accountable for financial, operational, and clinical goal attainment with operational partner.
This role has a 50% administrative requirement and a 50% clinical requirement.
Job Requirements Education- MD Degree or equivalent from an accredited College of Medicine.
- Completion of Medical Residency with Board Certification or eligibility.
- Bachelor's Degree required for Physician Assistants
- Master's Degree required for Nurse Practitioners
- Administrative experience in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Urgent Care, or related field, preferably in a major medical center or health system.
- Outstanding communication and management skills, and an ability to work collaboratively with GoHealth staff, management, health system partners, and other stakeholders.
- Must possess recent experience in generally accepted and currently used clinical methods and techniques.
- Currently licensed as a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant in the State of New York and/or Connecticut.
Skills And Abilities
Required
- Clinical skills commensurate with evidence-based care and knowledge of standard of care for all common urgent care diagnoses.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
- Super-user level skills with a currently in-use electronic medical record.
- Strong experience and skills in presentation of clinical and administrative topics to audiences of clinical and non-clinical staff in both formal and informal settings.
- Data analytics.
Essential functions are those tasks, duties and responsibilities that comprise the means of accomplishing the job’s purpose and objectives.
In Collaboration With Operations Partner- Direct the identification, development, and implementation of programs centered on quality and operational excellence.
- Work collaboratively to facilitate the design, development, and implementation of policies, procedures, and practices related to center operations.
- Ensure market compliance with all federal and state regulations, accreditation organizations, and joint venture/partner requests.
- Oversee maintenance of appropriate staffing levels and center operations staff and providers for all market sites.
- Responsible for review and assessment of key performance indicators (KPIs), provide feedback to managers on operational performance, and make recommendations on improvements as needed.
- Enhance market operations by supporting all cross-market initiatives and developing best practices to ensure timelines are met.
- Collaborate with other markets to collect information, share best practices, develop training plans, and capture data to track and monitor progress.
- Responsible for managing market-wide initiatives, including project management and outcome assessment.
- Develop, implement, and periodically review clinical policies and procedures of the organization, as well as performance standards for providers.
- Respond to needs and direct clinical staff during environmental and other unforeseen emergency events.
- Accountable for facilitating the achievement of organizational targets for center EBITDA, staff, NPS, DTD time, and other KPIs including clinical quality metrics.
- Develop relationships with local providers and service agencies to improve bi-directional patient flow.
- Use these relationships to build new programs supporting outside entities and driving new business to the Northwell-GoHealth network.
- Collaborate with the Medical Director, Deputy Medical Director, operational leader partner, and Northwell-GoHealth leadership to address site-specific issues.
- Partner with the GoHealth Chief Medical Officer on national and local strategic initiatives.
- Provide direct patient care as a scheduled provider for the requisite number of hours per pay period.
- Respond to volume surges and unforeseen circumstances to preserve the patient experience.
- Oversee Clinical Quality and Performance Improvement programming, adherence to system standards, financial performance, SOP implementation, and technology adoption.
