Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Inspector with a civil engineering background to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in inspection and testing, particularly in asphalt and soil testing. You will be involved in civil engineering design analysis and inspections, focusing on geotechnical, civil, and foundation projects.

Responsibilities- Conduct civil engineering design analysis and inspections.
- Track, report, and coordinate geotechnical, civil, and foundation projects with a focus on asphalt and soil testing.
- Communicate effectively via phone and email with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
- Report to the job site daily as needed, or to the office/lab when on-site presence is not required.
- Civil engineering experience or background.
- Proficiency in inspection and testing, especially in asphalt and soil.
- Experience with nuclear density gauge, construction, and concrete testing.
- Excellent reporting skills.
- Possession of OSHA 10 certification.
Skills & Qualifications
- Background in civil engineering, geotechnical, design, or inspection.
- Must own a car with mileage reimbursement available.
The position offers the opportunity to work on significant projects such as the Newark Terminal A and a new airport runway. We provide our staff with continuous work opportunities, ensuring engagement even during quieter periods by involving them in office tasks or lab testing. The company specializes in foundation engineering, offering design and inspection services to other engineering firms. During winter months, office work related to engineering design analysis may be available based on your background and education.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of EAST ORANGE, NJ.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
