Director of Behavioral Health & Substance Abuse (LCADC, LPC, LAC, LCSW)
Community Psychiatric Institute, a leader in Behavioral Healthcare and Chemical Dependency treatment for over 53 years in Essex County, is seeking an innovative & dedicated individual for the position of Director of Behavioral Health & Substance Abuse in our adult psychiatric Partial Care, IOP, and O.P. treatment programs.
Our mission is to provide evidence-based, person-centered care to improve the quality of life for individuals struggling with mental health and substance use disorders. Hours:Full-time
Requirements:- LCADC, LPC, LSW, LCSW, or equivalent license required.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive clinical experience with mental health, substance abuse, and co-occurring populations.
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience.
- Preferred - additional certifications such as CCS, Clinical Supervision Certificate, SIFI.
- Coordinate and develop clinical programs, ensuring regulatory compliance with state and federal standards.
- Oversee and manage the clinical team, including documentation, staff productivity, and program accountability.
- Support clinical staff to ensure high-quality service delivery and complete all job responsibilities.
- Develop and oversee Partial Care, IOP, and Outpatient programs, integrating evidence-based practices and innovative trends.
- Ensure staff compliance with organizational policies and DAS initiatives.
- Supervise and train clinical staff and interns.
- Manage client services to ensure quality of care and optimal outcomes.
- Provide orientation and ongoing evaluation of staff.
- Maintain relationships with community partners and referral sources.
- Collaborate with healthcare and legal systems.
- Assist with clinical caseloads as needed.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Leadership abilities and experience supervising clinical staff.
- Ability to develop relationships with outside agencies.
- Proficiency with electronic health records and technology.
- Excellent time management and strategic planning skills.
- Ability to facilitate individual and group sessions.
- Knowledge of prior authorization processes and insurance documentation.
Salary: $60,000 - $90,000+ annually, commensurate with experience and education.
