Behavioral Assistant (BA)

Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare provides comprehensive youth and family support services in New Jersey. We are looking for part‑time Behavioral Assistants to join our team.

$20.00/hr – $25.00/hr

• Visit clients in their homes or communities to provide relief to caregivers and holistic support to youth.
• Work 2–20 hours per week in 2–4 hour shifts, typically after 3:00 pm during the school year and as early as 8:30 am during the summer.
• Develop and implement Individual Support Plans.
• Deliver and monitor behavior analysis services.
• Submit weekly clinical progress notes within 24 hours of service provision.
• Collect and display data (e.g., graphics) authorized by the service plan.
• Ensure compliance with service authorization, including time frames and service hours.
• Implement interventions and behavioral procedures to acquire replacement skills and reduce problematic behaviors.
• Facilitate environmental arrangements and proactive strategies.
• Teach and develop new skills; manage specific consequences based on behavior function.
• Assist parents or guardians in implementing the treatment plan.
• Assist the behavior analyst in training caregivers and/or staff.
• Recognize and intervene in crises; prevent crisis situations.
• Ensure all agency policies are implemented and followed.
• Participate in required training.
• Increase ADL (Assisted Daily Living) skills within the client’s home and during community outings.

• Must have completed the free CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification course or be able to complete it within 6 months of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in behavioral healthcare, including maladaptive behavior management.
• 2–4 years of experience working with children with developmental/intellectual disabilities or mental illness.
• Valid New Jersey driver’s license and proof of car insurance.
• Consent to and pass state/federal criminal background checks.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship; we do not sponsor H‑1B visas.
