As an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Senior Solutions Architect within the Strategic Accounts segment, you will partner with our most valuable customers to design cloud architectures utilizing AWS services. In this role you will help customers solve business challenges such as rapidly releasing products or building elastic, scalable, cost‑optimized applications.

Travel requirement: 15–30% travel to customer locations in Seattle/Bay Area.

Key responsibilities include:

• Drive usage and adoption across a specific customer and shape long‑term customer relationships.
• Lead trusted relationships with C‑suite and enterprise architects, understand technology challenges, and dive deep into business needs.
• Own the overall technical relationship between customers and AWS, influence topics such as AI/ML, app modernization, reliability, operational efficiency, security, cost, and performance.
• Work backwards from customer needs to create a holistic technology vision, strategy, and practical transformation plan.
• Formulate, co‑author, and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS technology.
• Advocate the AWS technology strategy internally and externally at industry events and in publications.
• Author customer‑facing publications such as solutions, blog posts, and white‑papers.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of specific technology domain experience (software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.
• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
• Knowledge of SAP systems and their architecture and infrastructure needs.
• Experience working with end‑user or developer communities.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with SAP systems (e.g., S/4
  
  HANA, SAP HANA).
• Experience working with industry‑specific use cases.
