We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Medical Assistant – NYU Langone Cardiology Associates – East Patchogue. The successful candidate will assist physicians and nurses in patient care, providing safe and compassionate care while understanding the challenges faced by hospitalized patients undergoing procedures or diagnostic tests.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Assist with maintaining patient flow to and from exam rooms and treatment areas, escorting patients as needed.
• Obtain vital signs, weights, and electrocardiograms (EKG); assist with phlebotomy; ensure charts contain relevant lab work and test reports.
• Assist physicians with procedures (e.g., GI procedures, general medical exams). Clean and sterilize equipment; maintain cleanliness of exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Assist patients with food, toileting, ambulation, and comfort; respond to telephone requests.
• Upload or manage patient charges as per policy.
• Stock exam rooms with supplies, linen, and chart forms.
• Assist with training new Medical Assistants; perform administrative responsibilities as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or 2 years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, customer‑service skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Medical Assistant certification.
• Knowledge of EPIC Ambulatory.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Salary range: $58,754.99 – $58,755.00 annually.
