Operations

We design and manufacture the most comprehensive lineup of large diesel and natural gas engines in the industry, as well as engine components and powertrains.

• Assemble, test, rework, and repair machine components.
• Operate test machines to test final drive assemblies.
• Prepare prime products and attachments for shipping.
• Perform required salvage operations in assembly areas as necessary.
• Disassemble and reassemble complex assemblies to repair or replace damaged component parts.
• May operate remote control crane to specially equipped vehicles to transport prime product.

• High school diploma or previous work/volunteer experience.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Ability to work overtime when required, including weekends.
• Good communication skills and strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• A mechanical background or industrial assembly experience.
• Caterpillar will train applicants who have a strong employment history and work ethic.

• Excellent attitude and willingness to learn.

• Positions are available on 1st shift in East Peoria Bldg. KK.
• Work schedule:
  
  Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM.
• This is a supplemental position – minimum 40 hours per week with limited benefits available.
• Pay is $23.22 per hour.
• Relocation is not offered for this position.
• This position requires no travel.
