Operations

2nd Shift available – Full Time – East Peoria LL

Pay:
Up to $24.97 per hour, depending on experience, plus $1.00 per hour off‑shift premium. Welders may elect to receive a $4.00 per hour retention bonus immediately.

As an experienced Fabrication Specialist, you will set up, operate and adjust manual and/or automatic machines to perform welding operations in all positions.

• Perform manual finish welding operations on plain and alloy steels in all positions
• Operate robotic welding equipment
• Follow documented procedures and standard work to perform safe and defect‑free operations
• Perform carbon arc cutting and gouging
• Sanding may be required to dress welds
• Use of jib and overhead crane to manually position work pieces

• Must be able to pass multiple welder qualification tests during the Caterpillar provided training
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in production environment using GMAW with 0.045” or larger wire on ½” or greater thickness material
• Ability to perform simple computer operations
• Be available to work any shift
• Ability to work overtime to support production demands

• Three (3) years of GMAW welding experience
• Technical school or equal educational background in mechanical or similar discipline

• Good communication skills and strong commitment to safety and teamwork
• Ability to work well individually or in a team environment

• Full Time position offering benefits including health insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, 401K, etc.
• Company Provided PPE such as Safety Glasses (includes prescription safety glasses) and Weld Hood as well as Safety Boot Reimbursement.
• Shift: 2nd shift 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm
• Pay:
  Up to $24.97 per hour, depending on experience, plus $1.00 per hour off‑shift premium. Welders may elect to receive a $4.00 per hour retention bonus immediately. Incremental increases will be applied every 26 weeks until the maximum rate is reached.
• Training will be completed on 1st shift for the first 4–5 weeks
• 90 Day probationary period includes weld school training
• This position is located in East Peoria Bldg LL
• No relocation package is available
• Must be able to pass welder qualification requirements during the Caterpillar provided training by a Certified Welding Educator (CWE), Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or approved personnel
