Do you have the desire to be a CNC machinist and need the opportunity to learn? Caterpillar in East Peoria, IL is looking to hire entry‑level machining trainees.

• Set up and operate a variety of CNC machines used to produce high‑precision parts.
• Read blueprints and drawings to determine product dimensions and tolerances.
• Verify part conformity to specifications using measurement instruments such as micrometers or calipers.
• Apply intermediate mathematical skills, including geometry, trigonometry, and numerical conversions.
• Determine feed, speeds, and select tooling.

• Previous troubleshooting and equipment repair experience with agricultural, automotive, industrial, or military equipment.

• Previous CNC training or experience.
• High mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work any shift.

• Pay: $23.22 per hour.
• 3rd shift position (10:30 PM‑6:30 AM).
• Telework is not offered.
• Travel is not required.
• This is a supplemental position – 40 hrs or more with limited benefits.
• Safety is a core value  candidates must pass a pre‑employment drug screen held to DOT standards for prohibited substances.
