• Create content for divisional employees as well as enterprise communication channels; ensuring that messaging and branding are consistent across all channels.
• Assist with planning and implementation of Caterpillar IT employee and facility specific communications.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and advise on the suitability of approaches for communication efforts.
• Develop and distribute communications materials, such as written communications, presentation materials, etc. to deliver key messages.
• Track and analyze metrics to measure the effectiveness of internal communications.

• Education/
  
  Experience:
  
  College or university degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Copywriting and Editing:
  Knowledge of copywriting and editing; ability to write, review and edit texts and documents to promote marketing.
• Planning and Organizing:
  Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
• Internal Communications:
  Knowledge of techniques and media for internal communications; ability to produce and distribute news, newsletters and other communications materials targeted at the employees.
• Effectiveness Measurement:
  Knowledge of effective measurement techniques and ability to measure the quality and quantity of work effort for the purpose of improvement.
• Establishing and Maintaining Trust:
  Knowledge of developing and maintaining trust; ability to develop trusting relationships and provide solicited, respected and valued perspectives to clients/peers that guide thinking, facilitate issue resolution and enhance client/peer capabilities.
• Interpersonal Relationships:
  Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
• Planning and Organizing:
  Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.

Successful candidates will also have:

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
• Extensive experience with traditional communication methods, including writing, copy-editing, content creation and management.
• Exposure to digital marketing, graphic design, video‑editing, podcasting, and/or any other unique communication methods.

• The location for this position is East Peoria, IL
• Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify
• Sponsorship is not available
• Domestic travel up to 10%

Summary Pay Range: $87,480.00 – $

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
