Field Service Technician (Peoria IL)

East Peoria, Illinois (Onsite)

We are hiring for a Field Service Technician position. This role involves the installation and programming of security systems within residential communities. The position offers an opportunity for permanent conversion based on performance in metrics, inventory management, and upselling.

• Perform low-voltage equipment installations, add-ons, conversions, and radio replacements for residential and small business customers.
• Conduct wire pulling for system setups.
• Run remote tests to ensure equipment is operating correctly.
• Interact with customers, providing education on services and systems.
• Track all inventory and job assignments using a smartphone, laptop, or tablet.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current and valid State Driver’s License.
• Experience with CCTV, Burglar Alarms (BA), CAT 5, and CAT 6.
• Proven experience in low-voltage work.
• Must own reliable transportation, such as an SUV or a large four-door sedan.
• Must possess basic hand tools, including screwdrivers, pliers, wire cutters, a drill, and a multimeter.
• Must own a 6-foot or taller ladder; collapsible models are acceptable.

• Background in networking.
• Experience with smart home installations.
• Demonstrated organizational skills for inventory tracking.
• Customer service skills for daily client interaction.
• A background in sales, as the role involves upselling.
