Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician B

Martin Brower UK and Ireland is seeking a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician B at our Martin Brower facility in East Point, GA. Prior experience with lift gates, trailers, and reefer units is highly desirable.

Shift options: Tues–Sat 10:30 am–7:00 pm, Sun–Thurs 3:00 pm–11:30 pm.

Pay: $28.00–$34.00 /hr, based on experience and qualifications.

• Focus on preventative maintenance of fleet diesel equipment, identifying root causes of basic failures and performing repairs as needed.
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Inspect brake systems to ensure equipment is in proper operating condition and verify licensing and registration requirements.
• Use hand and power tools (e.g., screwdrivers) to perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication.
• Examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED and at least 2 years of related experience.
• Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift 100 pounds.
• Must possess own tools (minimum tool requirement).
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations.

• Technical school certification.
