Position: ADMIN ASSISTANT – NP200

Our well established clients are looking for a full-time Admin Assistant to support a busy office situated in Newport.

Days:
Mon – Fri
Hours – 9am – 5.30pm
(Some Saturday work may be required)

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • To carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning etc.
  • To write letters/emails on behalf of office staff.
  • To audio type inventories.
  • Reception duties (greeting the public, dealing with telephone enquiries).
  • Maintaining computer and manual filing systems.
  • Provide information to internal colleagues or external enquirers.
  • Handling sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  • Coordinating office procedures.
  • Develop and update administrative systems to make them more efficient.
  • Resolve administrative problems.
  • Receiving, sorting and distributing post.
  • Managing staff appointments.
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Knowledge of office administration procedures.
  • Diary Management.
  • The ability to work in a busy environment both as part of a team and independently.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Happy to take initiative.
  • Confident in dealing with clients.
  • Computer literate with good knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Good telephone manner.
  • Good typing and keyboard skills.
  • A good level of English spelling and grammar.
PERSONAL SKILLS REQUIRED
  • The ability to multi-task.
  • A high level of discretion and judgement.
  • A smart and professional appearance.
  • Be patient and take initiative.
