Engineering Technician – Quantic Evans (a proud member of the Quantic Electronics family)

The Engineering Technician supports the engineering team in product development, process improvement, and equipment maintenance. Responsibilities include executing product and process development tasks, performing R&D testing, maintaining production equipment, and supporting installation and repair activities in East Providence, RI.

• Execute product, process development, and R&D testing support by setting up experiments, collecting data, and assisting with prototype builds and process trials.
• Perform preventative maintenance on production and lab equipment to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime.
• Repair and install equipment, assist with installation, setup, relocation, troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing and R&D equipment in collaboration with engineering and operations teams.
• Maintain facilities: conduct maintenance on HVAC, lighting, compressed air, and water filtration systems; follow safety protocols; maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Additional duties as assigned.

• Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field (or equivalent training/experience).
• At least 1 year of experience in a technical role within manufacturing, engineering, or product development.
• Familiarity with basic mechanical and electrical systems, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment to meet deadlines and quotas.
• Collaborative, team‑oriented mindset with a hands‑on can‑do attitude.
• General manufacturing knowledge preferred.
• Must be a U.S. person eligible to work in the United States.
• Willingness to travel to Maine 3–5 days per month.

• General office and manufacturing environment.
• Exposure to hazards associated with manufacturing equipment and tools.
• Position requires working near electrical and mechanical equipment that could potentially interfere with pacemaker function.
• Requires manual dexterity and manipulation of small objects.
• Repetitive hand movements; ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds; use of hand truck for items over 50 pounds.
• Prolonged standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling motions; visual and hearing acuity in a noisy environment.
• Requires wearing appropriate PPE as per company safety protocols.
