Bradley and Hasbro Children’s Hospitals, affiliated teaching hospitals of the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, have three openings for outpatient pediatric neuropsychologists.
Bradley Hospital is a private, not-for-profit child and adolescent psychiatric hospital that provides a range of family-focused, high quality mental health care to children, adolescents, and young adults with emotional disorders and/or developmental disabilities.
- Full-time primarily clinical position working with a renowned multi-disciplinary team in the Bradley Hospital Outpatient Department. The Outpatient Department is backed up by a strong support staff and care coordination services.
- Provide neuropsychological services to children and adolescents currently in outpatient mental health treatment.
- The patient population reflects a diverse range of developmental and psychiatric disorders that impact thinking, learning, or socio-behavioral functioning. Many patients also present with additional medical or neurological conditions.
Rhode Island Hospital/Hasbro Children's Hospital has the area’s only pediatric intensive care unit, as well as pediatric oncology, cardiac programs, and separate emergency and surgical units for pediatric patients.
- Full-time primarily clinical position providing services to children and adolescents from within the hospital system.
- Consultations and referrals are from a diverse range of hospital services, including pediatric neurology, hematology-oncology, and mental health providers.
- Both positions have the opportunity for a Brown University clinical faculty appointment, if desired.
- While clinical service is the primary focus of both positions, collaborative research opportunities may be available.
- PhD or PsyD in Psychology from an APA/CPA accredited program, with an internship from an APA/CPA-approved program required.
- Two-year postdoctoral fellowship in Neuropsychology required.
- Licensed or license-eligible in Rhode Island.
- Board-certified or eligible for ABPP board certification in clinical neuropsychology, and subspecialty certification in pediatric neuropsychology.
- Bilingual skills and/or experience working with interpreters are preferred.
- Team-oriented professional and a desire to work collaboratively in a team-based care model.
- Enthusiasm for helping youth and families struggling with complex medical, psychosocial, and behavioral health needs.
