LABORER-HIGHWAY DIVISION

Pay Grade 30 ($40,227-$47,518)
Performs manual work doing a wide variety of semiskilled tasks in the construction, repair and maintenance of streets, storm drains, sidewalks, and other property owned by the City. Duties include pick and shovel work, jack hammering, raking, grading, sweeping, painting crosswalks, cutting grass and brush, shoveling snow, emptying trash barrels, erecting traffic signs and participating in the City's snow removal operation.

Auto Equipment Operator I, Auto Equipment Operator II, and Lead worker duties performed as required on a trainee or acting basis. May be assigned to Water Utility on an acting or emergency basis. Performs related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Must have three (3) to five (5) years' experience performing manual labor in construction or related field, or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training necessary to perform the essential functions of this position. Possession of a Commercial Driver's License, Hoisting Engineer License preferred. Must be able to obtain Commercial Driver's License and/or Hoisting Engineer's License within one (1) year from the date of hire.
